The United States president is an unnamed U.S. president appearing in the 2019 Death Note one-shot released in 2020.

The 2019 United States President's appearance is modeled after his real-life counterpart, Donald Trump.
Plot[]
The unnamed U.S. president is one among many world leaders who bid for the "power of Kira" that was anonymously put up for sale by an unknown Kira (referred to as "a-Kira" by the current L). As bids get higher, the president, vowing to never use the power and to keep it away from those who would abuse it, is eventually left bidding against the leader of China. He ultimately wins the auction with a bid of one quadrillion yen.
The president is eventually approached by Ryuk with a Death Note. Before Ryuk gives the president the notebook, he informs him of a new Death Note rule recently created by the Shinigami King stating that both the seller and buyer of a Death Note will die. Ryuk states that he is willing to leave the Death Note behind if the president dies, so that the Vice President can use it. Since the president values his life over letting his country use the Death Note, he declines possession of it. Instead, he lies and announces to the world that he has the Death Note, but will refuse to use it, believing this will boost his reputation. Ryuk congratulates him on his shrewd decision and leaves with the Death Note.
