Taskforce or Task Force?Edit

It seems that "Task Force," as two words instead of one, is in more common usage both on this wiki and among Death Note fans in general. I see that it's used both ways around the wiki (for instance, both ways are used on Soichiro Yagami's page), and that should be standardized. I propose moving this page to "Japanese Task Force" and changing all instances of "Taskforce" site-wide. Any input? -- KylaraE (talk) 01:49, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

This has actually been on my mind for a while, and I am in agreement that using "Japanese Task Force" is better to use on the pages. I haven't been able to do it lately as it would take some time to work on, but you can use this to check which pages it appears on and change it.

Thanks, I'll start fixing up the page and cleaning up links. I skimmed through volumes 1, 2, and 12 in both English (Viz version) and Japanese, and I noticed some fun things about the task force's name that I'll put on the page. Interestingly, I haven't found a use of "Japanese Task Force" in the manga yet, only "Task Force" (in volumes 1 and 2) and "Japanese Investigation Team" (in volume 12), so I'm going to look into it some more. This is a weird translation decision by Viz, because what they're translating as "Investigation Team" in volume 12 is the same name that was previously translated as "Task Force," but they didn't just go with "Japanese Task Force" for some reason. I'll see what the other volumes say.

The translation differences are most likely because not every volume by viz has the same person working on them. These could also be mistakes made in the actual Japanese volumes that viz did actually translate correctly. Munchvtec (talk) 03:54, March 16, 2016 (UTC)

not an official organization so it's not a proper noun. plus it's always spelled in lowercase when in regular font in HTR13. i think the page name should be tweaked accordingly.
