"Requiem" is a song in Death Note: The Musical. It is the final song of the musical.

Overview[]

As the people mourn the loss of Kira, Soichiro and Sayu find the bodies of Light and L in the warehouse at Daikoku Wharf and are left without knowing what really happened to Light. Meanwhile, Misa finds Rem's remains and disperses them, marking the latter's death and the end of the story.

English version[]

The song was originally written in English, with the English title "Requiem".[1]

On November 10, 2017, script-writer Ivan Menchell released the English lyrics on Twitter.[2]

The English demo was recorded in December 2014 and was eventually released online in a Tweet from Ivan Menchell in November 2017.[3]

English lyrics

Sleep now, here among your choices
Then drift away
Hear now how the world rejoices
Shades of grey

Gone who was right or wrong
Who was weak or strong
Nothing left to learn
Feel every gentle breeze
Whisper through the trees
As the seasons turn

Souls sing their oratory
Fading west as they fly
Tales full of fleeting glories
Stories old as the word "goodbye"
Ah, old as the word goodbye

Japanese version[]

The Japanese title of the song is "Requiem" (レクイエム, Rekuiemu).
