Antony Skomal is a character in Netflix's 2017 Death Note film. He is responsible for the death of Light Turner's mother and becomes Light's second victim.

Antony has short, black hair and brown eyes.
History[]
At some point in the past, Antony hit Light's mother with his car, killing her, and got off without conviction. There was speculation that the defense team had bought off the jury, a conjecture that was reported in the news. Skomal's multiple crimes without conviction lead to the media nicknaming him "the Teflon Criminal."
Plot[]
After a fight with his father, Light writes Skomal's name in the Death Note. While out to dinner at a restaurant, Skomal impales himself on his steak knife. He is Light's second victim and the first victim whom Light chose himself.
The next morning, Light's father James Turner receives a phone call informing him of Skomal's death. He laughs during the phone call and tells his son, attributing the strange death to karma.
James later comes to believe that Skomal is Light's first victim, which also leads him to realize that his son is Kira.
